Explore the surroundings

Do you want to enrich your family holiday and make the experience even more fulfilling? There are plenty of different excursions available around Italy’s largest lake: you will find something for everyone!

Amusement parks

If we talk about family holidays, we cannot but mention Gardaland, the most famous amusement park. It is particularly popular with children who are attracted by the friendly Prezzemolo Dragon and by all the attractions and rides.

A short distance away, climbing towards the east coast of Lake Garda, is Caneva World, home to the Caneva Aquapark– the perfect solution for hot summer days -, and The Hollywood Park Movieland, where you will feel like you are on a movie set.

Staying on the subject of theme parks, a visit to Rimbalzello could be of interest. This time on the west coast of the lake, this adventure park has 5 aerial routes, including lianas, Tibetan bridges, cables, nets and walkways.

Nature and beauty

SIf you have chosen a farm with horses like ours, it is a sign that your children really like animals and nature. So, another recommended excursion is one to the Parco Natura Viva Zoo Safari in Bussolengo.

By slightly extending the journey (about 20 minutes by car), on your way back you could make a diversion to theSigurtà Garden Park and conclude your excursion with a break in the characteristic Borghetto sul Mincio.

Beaches and cool dips

In good weather, a little healthy sunbathing is a must, with a few dips in the clear waters of the lake. The closest and most beautiful beaches are MonigaandManerba del Garda, which offers 11 km of coastline, with some of the most charming beaches in the area.

Relaxing in the thermal baths

After a visit to Sirmione, you can bask a little in the beneficial warmth of the thermal baths and the facilities of the Aquaria Thermal SPA, the ideal way to mix pleasure and wellbeing.

Salò and the Vittoriale

Going up from the farmhouse along the west coast of the lake, you can take a walk along the beautiful lakefront of Salò and then continue towards Gardone Riviera and the Vittoriale degli Italiani, a unique and very original place to experience a day of absolute wonder.

Have you seen how many things there are to do and seenear Lake Garda, with the Pietracavalla farmhouse as a starting point? We’ve given you just a few examples, but the ideas never end.

Lake Garda tour

Here is the most classic and pleasant way to explore the lake: relaxing on a boat. Children will love this itinerary that allows you to get to know two of the main islands of the lake up close:Isola del Garda and Isola di San Biagio(also known asIsola dei Conigli, Rabbit Island, after the many animals that have chosen it to live in freedom).
